We have this thread over on the old game forum for lights, I thought it was neat so I want to post it here too.
Everyone feel free to tell everyone a little about yourself. Name, age, location, hobbies and what you do for a living, background with other browser RPGs (especially those of us from the old game), and whatever else you feel like mentioning!

Hey everyone, I'm Scott and I live in the US (Idaho to be specific). I'm 31, and I remember signing up for The Prophets Song/Stax in either 1999 or 2000 through a friend that told me about it. Sadly he doesn't play anymore, nor has he any interest in playing, even the new game here.
In Stax I play Mr.Buh, a light crafter, and in Lambe I play the undead PainTrain, although Lambe is kind of dead so I never got to be the warrior I wanted to be, so naturally I chose a warrior class again here, but this time rounding out as the last faction I've yet to play, forsaken. By nature I like depending on myself for gathering crafting materials for my own equipment, I don't like mooching off others and taking what I want and not giving back.
I can't think of anything else worth mentioning, I look forward to working with my forsaken brothers and sisters, and crushing you filthy fellowships!

I played a string of bad characters in 2001-2006 era. A good friend got me into it but he played a shopkeeper mayor character, and I always wanted to raid. Prophets of the Killing God was a fun scene for awhile. I dunno, I enjoyed the minimal graphics and simple gameplay. It seemed to leave room for imagination in a way that other games don't.

Canada, British Columbia. I played TPS 2004-2010. A friend of mine kept pestering me about playing all through 2004 until I finally joined in late 2004. In Stax, at various times, I played Grazzt (dark elf), Pallantides (human),Atratus (human), Yorick (dark elf), couple of other short lived characters before Stax became limited to 1 character. In Lambe, I was Crimson (Skeleton).

I'm an old fart from the U.S. I started playing TPS in 2002 or so & had a bunch of different characters - Endymion, Freyr, and then Nix in Lambe.

"Name, age, location, hobbies and what you do for a living, background with other browser RPGs (especially those of us from the old game), and whatever else you feel like mentioning!"
..."dox yourself" the thread?
lol ok. My name is Phil Burnell, I'm 36, live in Seattle Washington, and pretend I enjoy video games for a living and to stave off the crippling depression.
On a more serious note-- no that is not my personal information, and no, I won't be providing it. I'm sure we'll have a good time, but I'm not looking for IRL friends from a browser title. I know that's all the rage with people these days with their Facebook pages and such, but I guess my boomer self just has never been too keen with disclosing private information. So Dutch will do just fine.
That aside, I AM more than happy to talk about other browser games I've played. I have to admit, it saddens me how much of a dying breed these are, as I think they really do have potential among busy people like myself who like to play something while they're at work. And of the browser games out there, it's even rarer to find decent MMO types with thriving communities that don't require a lot of busy-work to get into or do anything relevant in. This one shows a lot of potential, so I'm quite looking forward to it. I had no idea it had such old roots. 1999/2000? That was a golden age for good browser games!
Anyway, onto the list of my favorites:
Grendel's Cave - a browser/MUD mix that was really great from 1999-2003. It's dead now unfortunately, but it's a damned shame how few even remember this gem of a game, as it's easily one of, if not the, best browser game I've ever played. Pardus - a decent space RPG that was quite active about 10 years back. It's started to stagnate and requires a lot of grinding unfortunately, but it had a great community with a lot of competition and danger. Battle Master - a very good game if you like playing something more political and Game of Thrones-y. More active several years back and it too has started stagnating in recent years. Might and Fealty - made by the same developer who created Battle Master, and it's very similar, but is a lot more chaotic and easier to climb to power in. Never really got past alpha development and the community was always barely a handful of people, but it was fun while it lasted.

Greetings, I am the youngest player (probably) in terms of age at 19. I'm Asian and live in the pretty island of Singapore where it's too hot. I play a lonely little dwarf named Gladius in Stax. I am currently studying Marine Science and Aquaculture and currently in my final year of it.
Mostly play other games too if I'm too bored.
That's pretty much all I got ~Antho hue hue

Bacon = Agonia Raal = Stax Coraag = Lambe
Been playing TPS for many years. Great community. Enjoy the camaraderie and strategy of this game. Great to see your name Nix!!
I'm Canadian, work in education overseas. I currently live in a country where bacon is outlawed. Busy work life so only able to invest a bit of time for gameplay. This is only game I play, although I used to play a browser space game many moons ago called TVSgames - The Violet Sector, with Britnoth and Cinder of this game.

I'll have a go at it too then Name is Guillaume, I'm a veterinary epidemiologist, I work for the UN to help countries build better capacity to respond to big epidemics, as the most common ones are caused by diseases that are shared by both humans and animals (like Ebola, avian influenza, mers, anthrax etc). In Stax I was Blackout--. I joined TPS because I saw someone playing it in my high school. I didn't know this guy at all. Just looked at the URL and tried the game on my own. This guy was Chaosman. 16 years later he's getting married and I'm his witness. This guy's brother was Minus. And this guy's brother's friend was Dspe. I have many hobbies but in a general sense I like to try and make my own stuff: all-grain homebrew, chili plantation, liquors, ...

Hello everyone. My name is Brooklyn and I started playing Prophets in 2001. I had just got out of juvee and my brother said, "Hey dumbass, play this game and shut up." Since I was on house arrest I thought, 'fuck it,' and sat on my Dad's shitty apple desk top playing a game that made my brother and I compete to see who would get to the computer and train first, everyday. All the while, pissing off our dear old dad with tons of cookies!! After nearly 20 years of addiction you guys had to go and make me play a better version!! My Lady is already pissed about it because her,"Pay attention to me!" time has decreased significantly. I bring electricity into multibillion dollar Hospitals for a living. Oh... And I am the King of the North..
