Hello, I just cut a lot of wood to raise skill to 210, after having a look at Train/spend turns page found that I needed few more turns to raise. Then I cut trees for 3 more turns and thought I'd raise but didn't. Did 3 more and still didn't raise. Then I checked again and found:
You are currently training your Woodworking [209] skill with 234 of 207 experience.
next turn in making planks let me lev up, but why not before?

This has consistently happened every level in my general skills since Antidievs pointed it out. agonia.boards.net/thread/70/experience-levelupsUsually you go 8-9 EXP over the needed value to level up, causing you to spend a turn solo training to make it level up. Sometimes though, you can use 2-3 turns of actual crafting exp and still not get it, like you did. This means losing about 5~15% of your EXP while leveling general skills which hurts a bit. I haven't seen clearly whether it affects quest exp / ancient relic turn in, harder to gauge.
