Kyri walked across the open grassland it seemed to stretch forever with every few
steps she was struck at by scaled serpents, after a few hours she had enough of
the snakes on the plain and entered a narrow strip of woods to be rid of the things
for a while, coming out the other side she noticed some large creature in the
distance but the long grass made it dificult to make out what it might be, slowly
she stalked over toward it thankfully not disturbing any more fanged legless fiends
she was very close now to the beast but the grass was taller even than the tallest
Giant, the grass opened up into an area trampled flat by the largest creature she
had ever seen, it was covered in long hair and stood on legs like tree trunks
its head swung round towards her, huge ears flapping back and forth, two tusks of
pure white, each the at least ten feet in length sat either side of what could have
been a fifth leg except it was wrapped around the lifeless body of..., she wasnt
sure what it was wrapped around but she had heard stories of this creature.
The Mammoth trumpeted a loud challenge and charged, its feet crunching over the
twisted remains of fallen victims, armour buckled under its huge bulk and she saw
a skull smash as the beast charged at her, fast as lightning her body moved almost
before the thought had finished running in her head.
Whats red and squishy and found between Mammoths toes?, kyri darted through the long
grass soon leaving the Mammoth far behind, Not me, she thought, I`m no slow native!.
