The Hunt
The magnificient beast landed on the high mountain peak, the mere impact of its claws against the rocks causing a small avalanche on the eastern slope of the mountain.
She noticed new creatures, something she had never seen before. Small, fragile creatures that stood up on two legs and seemed to be working in groups. She saw three of them attacking a Glyptodon with pointy sticks. She lost interest quickly, as they wouldn't represent more than a little snack. They didn't seem to be much of a threat either, it would probably require at least twenty of them to cause her any worry. She decided to ignore them and turned her head north, in the direction of another creature far more interesting. She stood still for a moment and watched from afar as it was peacefully eating grass with only a few skylings flying around. It was a female, weighing around four tons.
In one powerful impulse, the beast took off. She flapped her gigantic wings several times to gain altitude and then let herself glide north. Once she was over her target, she brutally swooped down and let out a frightening and powerful screech. When the Mammoth finally looked up, all it saw was a blazing tornado of flames.

Ignition
When the last candlelight’s extinguished and the moon is past the peak of its arc Agonia’s towns fall still and silent. New Heaven’s dark and deep silence adorns the hill while only the rumble of Giants snoring echoes in the valley of Exodus. Suddenly the silence is broken with a burst of sound. Startled and shocked the residents of New Heaven are confronted with a series of explosive bangs coming from the dock. They rush to find the ship on fire. A few minutes later the habitants of Exodus witness a similar ordeal. Occupants of both towns shake their sleep and rush to put the fire out. But it’s too late to save the ships, which sink to a cold watery grave. Voices claim to have seen a hooded figure running from the scene in Exodus.
*On the summit of Prophets Peak high above New Heaven where the air is thin and cold the Ancient Academy is alive with activity. The Ancients, dressed in dark cloaks their faces always shadowed by hoods, crowd in a circle debating. Through a window a crow appears on the ledge cawing. They all hush and Meister Derva holds out an arm. The crow lands on his palm, allowing him to remove the small piece of rolled parchment attached to its leg. After reading the note silently, Derva looks up, making eye contact with each of the Ancients before addressing them, “It is done.”
