Game Update 25 April 2019
Agonia Facts page!
Agonia facts page is up and official! Check it out here.
You can access it by clicking on World Facts in the game's login page or on your account dashboard.
The facts give information on:
-General statistics of races
-Statistics on monster kills
-Statistics on player kills
-Statistics on spirits caught
-Statistics on oldest characters
-Miscellaneous information (mayors, richest players, etc)
-(Rank information - Not active yet)
Mayor elections
Strength affects how much damage you deal, but when you use low tier weapons, only a fraction of your strength bonus is applied. For example tier 1 weapons only use 16% of your strength bonus (this is to avoid strength from slowing down your training).
So far the ratios were: Tier 1 (16%), Tier 2 (33%), Tier 3 (50%), Tier 4 (100%), Tier 5 (100%)
We changed it to: Tier 1 (16%), Tier 2 (50%), Tier 3 (100%), Tier 4 (100%), Tier 5 (100%)
Reason is: the agility/strength balance is calibrated for 100% strength-use. Since many players will use tier 3 weapons, it would give an unfaire disadvantage to strength characters if tier 3s are anything less than 100%.
We also take opportunity to remind you that the agility/strength balance is a dynamic one, that will be tweaked every now and then as characters grow stronger in stats (expect first changes soon).
Capitals
We would like to try and increase player traffic to capitals.
In this regard, following changes were made:
Mentor program
Agonia is a tough universe for new players. Experience shows that when not well escorted, most new players give up on the game extremely fast. But when they are accompanied a little bit, their integration goes much smoother and they tend to become active and durable members of our community. We would like to encourage this more so we came up with a mentor program. It's easy:
Quest
Exodus Plague / New Heaven Plague Quest is now open (check in capital, 150 weapon skills and 35 sorcery skill required)
Easter Egg-hunt
The event had a very high level of participation. A total of 1756 Cassowary Eggs were found! Thanks to you all, the Nosh Pit restaurant has enough stocks to serve overpriced omelets for quite a while. For those who haven't brought their eggs back to the NPC, you still have 5 days to do so.
Help needed
We would like to make two new things:
-A (wiki) guide, compiling information about the game, races, weapons, etc...
-A video tutorial for newbies (like a 3-4 minute screenshot video explaining the basics of the interface and the game to a new player).
If anyone has experience in doing one of those and a bit of free time to help, please PM me!

Mayor elections
Mayor applications are now opened. You have 72 hours from the time of this posting to submit your mayor application. To do so, just send me a PM here, with your mayor speech. Also feel free to post any speech, RP, etc, in the roleplay section of the forums or in your faction forums.
We remind you that mayorship mandates last three months.

Capitals
We would like to try and increase player traffic to capitals.
In this regard, following changes were made:
- Bank fees: are now lowered to 1 Gold (instead of 1%) for every transaction. If you store 20,000 Gold, you will only pay 1 Gold as fee.
- Capital movement: inside the capital (the 3x3 square), movement cost is reduced to 5 for all tribes.
- Road/Bridge movement: reduced to 13 for every tribe (previously 15 for all and 14 for Nuruks).
It's easy:
- When a new player reaches 200 skills, he can request a mentorship reward
- All he has to do is contact me in forum PM (ultimately in discord) and give me the name of the player who has helped him most get to that point
- Mentor gets a 2500xp leadership reward (RP: his/her influence increases because he is hiring new members for the faction)
- Mentee gets a 1000xp leadership reward (RP: his/her influence gets a little increase because he is 'introduced' in the faction by an older player)
- This reward can be retroactive, but only characters created after 15 january can be considered as mentee
- So just to make it clear, anyone who is over 200 weapon skills and who started playing after 15 January can qualify for this
Quest
Exodus Plague / New Heaven Plague Quest is now open (check in capital, 150 weapon skills and 35 sorcery skill required)

Other changes
- Fleeing/seeking formula was updated to give much more importance to instinct. Your chances to flee a fight (or to block someone from fleeing) is proportional to both your fleeing/seeking skill and your instinct.
- A wheelcart item has been added to the game. You can craft it with Woodworking. It allows you to carry much more weight but also slows down your movement. Not to be used on a daily routine but can be of great help for road-building, dragon looting, moving gear etc...
- Copper nails have been added to the game, and are now a key material when building towns.
- "Look around" page: you can now see what monsters are in a pile by clicking on it.
- The XP of the desert spot with camel spiders, rattlesnakes, sand vipers etc has been increased significantly (it was low at first because we were planning to give it a very rare drop but chose otherwise in the end).
Bugs fixed
- Race colors, names and soemtimes images were wrong in some pages (e.g. player kill list, assassin list, facts, etc). This is now fixed.
- A large missing image on the quest pages was confusing new players a lot, it's now fixed.
- Monster description page now shows the monster picture correctly.
- There was a bug with some character names having a 'space' at the end of the name which blocked several things. This is now fixed.
- There was a bug with the mason hut (some materials could not be stored, and some herbs could be stored). Fixed.
- Capitals are getting a bit crowded with inactives, we are planning to clean up a bit. Please DO NOT kill the inactives. If you see anyone inactive on the first initiation quest spot, please PM me in forums or discord and I will teleport the character to the capital.
