All weapons in game are hack slash stab bash type in my mind, and it would be great If a sense of magic was added to, even if no spell system is in place. The idea of wielding a staff can have a sense that of some monk or a mage, whichever the role-player prefers and as the imagination allows. The staff could also fill the role of a high attack power two hander that deals blunt damage (along Duel Swords and bow). Just some ideas: T1 Apprentices Staff Damage: 11-13 Weight 2.0 A standard wooden pole used by those wishing to master the ways of the Staff. Duel purpose use has seen people use this as a fishing pole to, but not very successfully. T2 Oaken StaffDamage: 14-16 Weight 2.9 A finely crafted staff that is more durable than an apprentice staff. It takes a woodsman a week to craft each of these! T3 Twisted Chanter's StaffDamage: 17-19 Weight 1.8 The lightest of all, it takes years of training to be able to wield this efficiently. Infused with essences passed to the woodsman, a strange aura is surrounding this weapon. T4 Staff of BrightwoodDamage: 20-22 Weight 5.4 A grand staff forged with the rarest of woods. Wielding this is said to bestow great power upon the owner. T5 Grand Dragon StaffDamage: 23-25 Weight 7.8 A large eye radiating supreme power sits atop this staff. If you are able to wield this, nothing will stand in your way. Requirements to wield: same as axe, in that you need just as much strength as agility to wield it properly without tiring, and move swiftly. Attack bonuses: same as duel sword/bow as mentioned above.
