Opening this for suggestions on how factions/tribes can be differentiated on the map/new page. I haven’t got a lot of suggestions as it’s quite a difficult one but feel free to add. The new font colours are much clearer on the new main page already so wondering if we could add another layer to that.
Personally I prefer differentiating between factions instead of tribes.
Some suggestions:
- One faction could be displayed in italics. This could alternatively align with diplomacy settings (war = italics/alliance = regular)
- Players set to diplo war could be displayed in red. Maybe the second letter only so they aren’t disguised in wastes/lava?
- Capitalise the first initial when a player is online instead of underlining. Underlining colours could be aligned with diplomacies/factions?
- Different font types for different factions that are clearly differentiated between.
- Display the first 3 initials instead of 2 (slightly smaller font?)
A few of these could be a user interface setting option so it isn’t on all the time. I’m thinking of the colour display ones in particular so that people can switch them on and off when raiding/defending only.
