Limited Automated Mining
Would be a structure to build on existing mines which would attempt to find ores as the fertility of the tile reaches 100% When this happens, it reduces fertility by 10% like player explores and uses the tile item rates to find ore, plants, or nothing. If it successfully finds ore(s) then it drops to the ground for anyone to pass by and pick up. Only a certain number of ores can be on the ground before it will stop auto-exploring at 100% fertility. Let's say 15 copper ores, 6 tin ores, 4 iron ores.
Monthly upkeep to pay the workers at each mine? If so then maybe: Copper Mine: 50 gold per month Tin Mine: 80 gold per month Iron Mine: 120 gold per month If the mayor chooses to not pay for a mine that month, then workers would just not mine, but structure would stay (hopefully?).
Don't know what the materials cost for the mines should be as I don't pay attention to what the crafters are capable of producing each day but I would hope it would take at least a week to build for a single player. These structures could also be targets of enemies and saboteurs to cancel the worker activity at the mine for the rest of the month. (partial worker gold refund? prob not)
This could easily be too much and not in the vision for Agonia, but wanted to get this posted anyway.

I've thought about that but decided not to include those since there is no single spot in an area for those and those are (were) tribe specific. Didn't want to take away from tribe perks.

I see a down side to this as Factionless, if I go to a mine that a Mayor is paying upkeep on there wouldn`t be any way of knowing if I`m picking ore from successful rolls or if there were a lot of unsuccessful rolls and I`m only taking what I mine myself.
That said theres a lot of merit in the idea, people running round to recover ores before it gets raided leading to some nice brutal encounters!
It could work as a natural occurance, eg (assuming a small background population of farmers etc) leavings from being frightened off by monsters, mistaken cast offs, erosion could lead to small amounts being left behind
