The War
From the time the two tribes found each other marooned on this isle the two sides fought for control, for the measly resources they could find, and ultimately for survival. They met with blades, hammers, and axes and for a time there was death on both sides. The battles were grand and Jolly and Grahf reveled in them.
The Disappearance
However in time the forsaken noticed that many of the once great warriors of the fellowship began to disappear. No one knew why. The island was still full of mystery so it made sense that some dark forces were swallowing them whole, but why then were the forsaken not affected? They pondered this, but could find no reason. New aspiring warriors, strangely mostly of the Giant variety were born from the families of the fellowship, and although they had potential they were young lacking in experience It would be years before they provided the challenge of their forebears.
The Challenge
Grahf and Jolly lived for the fight. With the disappearance of the forsaken continuing unabated the challenge they once thrived on was fading before their eyes. They worried that soon all of the great warriors would disappear. “What use was there in being strong if there was no one left to test your power against” they thought to themselves. The arena matches against their fellow forsaken were somewhat entertaining, but they lacked the thrill of the kill.
The Change
Jolly came to Grahf as he knew he had concerns about the need to restore the thrill of the fight. “Bjorn traded me to Gryn, I must join the fellowship now, come with me and we can help investigate what is happening to the fellowship” he said. So they resolved to leave the Forsaken despite the help and comradery many of them had given throughout their time on the island. They would go to the fellowship to help them deal with whatever threat was causing their great warriors to disappear. They did not mind that they would now have to fight their former comrades, the forsaken. They would be worthy foes.
The Apprentices
However Jolly and Grahf could not leave their apprentices Groot and DrRelic behind. They had great potential, they believed that one day they would even surpass themselves. They went to them and made their case for their journey to the fellowship lands. Groot and DrRelic understood as they had similar concerns and quickly decided to join them on their mission.
The Journey
With that the four set out for the fellowship lands. They left in the dead of night, quietly slipping by the forsaken sentries. They needed to move as swiftly as possible for the forsaken would soon realize they were gone as the signs of their empty dwellings would eventually be found. They looked back with some longing toward the forsaken lands they were leaving, but they knew this had to be done. Peace was not their friend. Taming the island’s wilderness and creating a happy society with fancy roads full of safe travelers was what some sought, but not them. Fe Fi Foe Fum said the Jolly one. The great battles of the early days would rise again!
