The beast in the forest
I was looking around when I saw deep in the treeline Megatherium standing head and shoulders above the trees. I have never seen one of those before but lucky for us we all got what seems like a pokedex to know what every critter is we see.
I shouted to my mythos friend "lets see who can kill the beast".
We charged after the massively large sloth, it was taller than a mammoth when it stood on its hind legs. Did not react to use for about 40 seconds until we got there. Lucky for me I wore my green war paint so it could not see me as easy. The mythos just had dinner so the smell of the spinach was still on its breath and the Megatherium seemed to like that smell and went after him.
After 5 mins of maneuvering and striking the Megatherium it seemed to start limping on its left foot. I waited for the beast to fall on it side from dodging it strike, when it was down I went in for the kill.
The mythos saw what I did to get the kill, and was surprised that a giant outwitted him.
But the lesson learned here is this, don't rely on luck to make you lucky,
"Giants make their own luck!"
