Xarnak Event
Background Story
The Fire People
The Mayor pushed open the heavy door of The Slaughtered Horker after a long day satisfying the needs of the faction. He approached the bar, tipped his hat, ordered his usual, and plonked himself down onto a barstool. The ale glass hit the bar empty after one lift and the mayor let out a ferocious burp. He chuckled to himself looking to share the moment, but no laughter came. The mayor looked left, then right and noticed he was at the bar alone giggling to himself. Scanning the room he discovered everyone huddled in the corner of the room, a quiet whisper passing round.
The mayor approached the huddle cupping his ear and leaning in to hear a man speak.
“On the mountain, not far from the capital, we were prospecting for new mines when we came across a cave. There was a light and strange chanting spilled from deep within the cave. I told Kurchak not to go in, but he was as curious as smilodon cub, that lad.
“What happened next?”, asked a member of the audience.
“He reappeared”, the man continued, “holding in his hands what looked like embers, or cinders, or glowing hot coals. In the next moment an arrow, shot from behind, went right through his chest. The chanting was ringing in my ears now. Keezheekoni…. Keezheekoni…. Keezheekoni. I’ll never forget that sound.”
“Who were they!? What did they look like!?” Questioned Mayor Giantdad, who had now pushed his way to the front.
“Almost like Leafborn but their body markings and their eyes glowed like they were on fire.”
The crowd gasped and began to talk noisily amongst themselves. The mayor quickly made for the door and with a suppressed whisper he murmured, “I will get to the bottom of this, the Ancients will know.”
TLDR: Xarnaks are a mysterious tribe that lives in caves. They have perfected fire mastery and use some mystical fire source to bring life to their caves and to make deadly weapons. The origin of this tribe is unknown to this day.

Event
- Event starts at 5:00pm server time on Sunday 12 January. It will end on Saturday 18 January at 11:59pm.
- Event will start with a small quest in the Capital's vicinity.
- Near each Capital, two tiles will have a Xarnak Cave, it looks like any other tile but when you explore on it you will sometimes find Xarnak people to fight.
- Those caves are where Xarnaks live, so they will come in large numbers. The fights will be very tough, hence why you will need to have at least 15 people together to avoid too many casualties. If you are the first to get there, wait until more people join you.
- The quest will ask you to kill a certain number of Xarnaks.
- Xarnaks will sometimes drop Xarnak Embers, which are very valuable to the Ancients. On each tile, a trader will be available, he will offer to trade you the Embers for an item of your choice among his list.
A Xarnak Ember
- We came up with a very innovative trader system based on offer & demand
- The trader has a list of 11 valuable items he can trade for Embers. Those include steel ingots, ivory tusks, acid glands, sacred wood, dragon parts, ancient relics, etc.
- Each item will cost a certain number of embers, but the prices will fluctuate!
- When someone buys an item, the cost of that item will go up significantly, while the cost of the other items will have a slight decrease
- Anyone buying an item, will cause a price change to all items for all other players. So during the event, check regularly the trader's prices to try and snoop in some good deals for your embers.
Marketing Campaign
- In parallel to the Event we will launch a large marketing campaign to get more players to join us.
- That will include some facebook advertisement, official reddit posts, signing up on new gaming websites, emailing Agonia inactives, etc.
- If you are able to help in this, please let us know (for example if you are a youtuber with many followers, or you are a marketing specialist). Any help is very welcome because since the game is free, our advertisement budget is small.
- Because of the event, a very large number of players will be online in the vicinity of the capitol. So remember to check your chat room to welcome those new players.
- IMPORTANT though, please don't rush new players into the event. New players don't need an ivory tusk or a steel ingot, they need to understand the basics of the game. Help them, guide them, equip them and answer their questions, but let them do the Initiation quests and get a good feel for the game. Getting them on the Xarnak camp would be madly confusing for them and they would most likely die very fast.
