Game Update 25 April 2020
This Update post is way overdue so sorry for the long list! But at least it shows a lot of progress is happening
Skeleton War [Results]
The results of the Skeleton War event have been published in a separate post HERE.
Cassowary Egg Hunt & Flash Sale of Ancient Relic
Over 160 players participated and the event is now finished. We remind the last players carrying eggs that they will go rotten in 4 days so you must trade them quick for the Gold.
We will post the final results once the deadline has been reached (right now the number of participants is 162 and the total number of eggs sold is 11,544! with still a few days left).
Flash sale: the number of players participating to the event and their dedication to it was far above our expectations.
While this is a great news for the game, we did not expect to inject so much Gold in the economy! The high and sudden increase can cause a sudden inflation and make the market go a bit crazy. To drain out some of the excess gold we are doing a temporary flash sale on Ancient Relics. --> You can buy 1 Ancient Relic for 5,000 Gold in your Egg Hunt Event page.
Offer is limited to one per player and will stay only for 4 days. You have complete freedom on what you do with this relic (you can use it yourself, sell it, trade it etc).

HTML had been disabled in several areas because of a possible security breach. That includes:

Because of these changes, your previous descriptions/rank names might look wonky now, you need to edit them and use the proper BBcode if you wish to make any special formatting.
Nozama & Marketplace changes
Double Craft XP Weekend
After the crazy Skeleton War and the busy egg hunting, next event will be easy and calmer! Next weekend is labor day, so we will have a double crafting XP weekend from Friday 1 May 8PM server time until Sunday 3 May 8PM Server time.
Offline out-of-fight Fast Heal
As you know the game has had since the start in-fight healing orders that you can set in your Options page. It means that if you are offline, and in a fight, and you get hit and your HP is below the threshold you set-up, your character will automatically use the item you set-up in your fight order to heal. When in a fight, you can only use 1 item per round, whether you are online or offline.
We have added a new feature, to allow for automatic fast-heal if you are offline and a fight just finished.

- Nozama shop prices are now visible even outside of capitals. But you can only buy items if inside a capital.
- Nozama now has new items on sale: iron ingot, gold ingot and a medical kit of 200 ointments.
- Marketplace filters/sort: You can now sort all items sold in the marketplace by seller / by item / by newest/oldest offers.

- It will use the same HP thresholds and items as your in-fight orders.
- You have option to activate in-fight orders / out-of fight orders independently (you can activate one or the other or both or none) in your Options Page
- The fast-heal will give some level of protection against PvP flee-killing
- The fast-heal can help a lot players who are camp-training
- The fast-heal only works if you were offline in the latest fight round. So if you are online, get a fight, get injured, and log out after your fight is over, it will not be activated.
Other changes
- Newbie XP bonus generalized: Newbie XP bonus is now applicable on all XP. That includes notably crafting and training with a master. Only exception is quest rewards which remain unaffected. That means every new player is free to follow whatever path he/she wants without worrying about 'optimizing' the newbie bonus.
- Fellowship name change: Fellowship have decided to change their name to The Order. We will change the name in the several parts of the game in the coming days.
- New 'End turns' page: The 'endturn' code has been redone entirely from scratch and is now using a new page also. This affects training alone, training with masters, cutting logs, cutting stones, doing masonry work etc...
- Mentor Program removed: The mentor program has been removed because it was creating a lot of issues in factions with some people accused of hogging mentorships. Note: we are talking about Mentor Program NOT Recruit Program. The Recruit Program (where you get bonuses by sharing your referral link and having new players join the game) is still active.
- Group Factions: Groups now belong to a faction and can be sorted by faction on the Groups page. Group faction is determined by the faction of the person that creates the group.
- Group Applicant notice: When an outsider applies to a group, all group members that have the Group right 'Appoint new members in the group' will have a blinking [Applicant] on their Main Page right next to the Group Link.
- Automated armies: As you have seen with the Skeleton War, we now have more complex automated armies, which can move, attack, duplicate, heal itself, and more.
- Skillcap: skillcap is now shown on your login page right above your character image.
- Test database: Our test environment now has its own database. That means we can go even further now in testing new code (with impact on database) before deploying it in the live game. This should not only speed up development work but also cause a bit less bugs when we deploy new stuff in the game.
Bugs fixed
- 502 Gateway error: that was the biggest bug we've had since we had to change server in the end of 2019. When 110+ players were online at the same time, and particularly if big fights were happening, everyone was getting a 502 Gateway error. It took weeks of investigation and testing but the issue was finally solved. In the egg event we reached 136 players online without any issue. Solving this one was a huge relief. Note that when we deploy new code in the game (usually once or twice per day), it is possible that you get a 502 Gateway at that precise time, but it should go away after a few seconds.
- Items in Guide: some items (in particular some shields) were not displayed in the Guide, this is now fixed.
- Master training: After training with a master and then moving out of the tile of the master, the (m) was still displayed (this (m) is meant to show you that your master is on the same tile as you and is available to master you).
Future priorities
- New fight engine. A lot of progress has been made on the new fight engine. The PvE is functional but we still have a few tweaks to make for PvP. Once the new engine is up and running it will offer a lot of new possibilities. Notably, it will allow us to work on the long overdue agility/strength system we have been promising.
