Running through a pitch black forest towards a voice asking for his help. He reached the voice and there laid a body. He turned him over and the figure had his eyes ripped out of his skull and throat slit, the blood dripping down his neck. He recognized the ring on his finger, it was the family crest of the Greatest Clan; it was his younger brother Legolas.
Long startled himself awake and gasped for air, cold sweat running down his sideburns. He looked to his right and there lay Aura. He realized it was just a dream. This dream was a bad omen, he must find his brother to make sure everything is ok. (Long thought to himself.) Long was buckling his belt as he heard a knock at the door.
"Lord Long, it's your brother, he's hurt," said the village elder.
Long opened the door to his cabin, in the distance he saw his brother on the back of the village alchemist. Long sprinted toward his brother with Aura following closely behind. Legolas was covered with cuts and bruises through-out his body.
"What happened to him?" yelled Long.
"I was collecting Herbs on the mountain when I found your brother leaning up against a rock barely breathing. I fed him a healing potion and rushed back here as fast as I could" responded the alchemist.
Long placed his hand on Legolas heart and felt a faint pulse.
"Aura quick, he's still alive" ushered Long towards his Leafborn companion.
Aura and Long place their hands on Legolas' chest.
"Great spirit of the woodland, lend us your power to heal your fallen son" chanted the couple.
Sparkling specs of lifeforce gathered towards Legolas and entered his chest. Legolas slowly opened his eyes and instantly felt relieved to see his brother standing next to him holding his hand.
"Brother it was Mutuwa, I was fighting a Caiuajara and lowered my guard after slaying the beast. Mutuwa took this opportunity to surprise attack me, I did all I could but he was too strong. Avenge me brother" were his last words before going unconscious .
"Summon the Shamans and take care of my brother" yelled Long to the village elder.
Long walked to his cabin and pulled out a wooden box from underneath his bed. He opened the box and said "it has been a long time old friend. I wish to live a tranquil life free of bloodshed, why must they force me to kill."
Long strapped his Daisho to his back and left behind the peaceful life he had desperately tried to live.
