Have the newbie tournament reward true newbies over remakes. One way would be to allow the true newbies to place before remakes.
example
Placement... True newbies 1 with 9 points
True newbie 2 with 9 points
remake 1 with 21 points
remake 2 with 18 points
makes the true newbies rank before the remakes feels silly to have a tournament for the remakes every year, but I do like the day of training during the raid ban.
but could call it remake tournament if the goal is to help remakes compete with those who did not remake faster.
