I know I'm out of the 10 days intial protection, but I think to help those not as in tune or engaged with the community, an automated system message should be sent to a player when their protection expires. I don't know if people know they are under this status either, so maybe an automated message when they begin as well to let them know about the protection (but not to abuse it).

I was thinking maybe an icon on the main page in a corner, that is there as long as the protection is active, and then maybe in addition to that a notification yep

I worry people would gloss over that and not know what it is, maybe put a tool tip with it so when you scroll over it with a cursor a little message pops up saying what it is.
