stat item affects do not get changed during combat, such as endurance... i do not know if it works for agility or not exploitable if it does.
used a stew in combat (you can pause the fight and eat a bowl of stew in 15 sec) and my max hp did not increase.

Whenever I increase a stat (particularly pertaining to HP and MP) I have to go to my character page and refresh for the stat to actually show and take affect. Been a bug since the old game, but I never thought about how that could affect potions and the like in combat, since people usually pot up before engaging.

or spell up with 40 agility could it last whole combat

I just drank a liter of wine while in combat. While the positive effects were applied (I swapped between shields), the negative effects have not yet materialized. I refreshed the char sheet a few times after combat was out, logged back out and in...but nothing.
I ran outta wine...sadly, so can't really try and see whether the same applies when you do this out of combat...anyone knows?
